This is an activity run by a group of service oriented past students of SSL. \u201cDisha\u201d was established on April 18, 1998. The objective of this activity is to provide opportunity for the field work to trained social workers, especially in the field of education and health.
The Patient Assistance Centre is a healthcare project. Many patients take advantage of this facility. DISHA provides Equipment required for the patients while getting treatment at home e.g. beds, pans, urine pots, walking sticks, crutches, commodes, chairs, backrests, folding walkers, wheelchairs, surgical beds, air beds, etc. are offered for use at a very low rent. This help has been extended near our Parel campus which has well \u2013 known hospitals like Tata Memorial for Cancer patients, Wadia Hospital (both Maternity Home & Children\u2019s hospital) and KEM Hospital. Food, rice, pulses, etc. are distributed every week. Especially during \u201cPitru Paksha\u201d through the \u2018Shidori\u2019 project for patients and their families. Diwali Sweets too are distributed amongst them. All the donations are done in \u2013 person, one \u2013 to \u2013 one in their hands.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
